Normally I would agree with you 100% on the lottery...but you are missing one key fact: Utah has our UNPROTECTED 1st round pick in this year's draft. This is irrelevant to what I was saying as I still believe the Knicks will contend for the 8th spot. Do I want mediocrity, hell no, there has been way too much of that over the last decade. I do believe we are getting Lebron (that's for another debate), but an 8th seed this year would show progress and only further enhance the chances that another top FA will come to NY in '10. As to who I think will be joining Lebron, we'll wait until later in the season to tackle that one.
